He also added that the partnership is as indication that Maybank is expanding its e-channel offerings leveraging on the rise of platforms such as Groupon.
The deal helps extend Groupon's reach to another 1.74 million Maybank2u.com active user's. Since its inception in January this year, Groupon's customer base has reached to 700,00 as of July 2011.
Both Groupon and Maybank could not be contacted for comments at press time
